Pixelgasm basically has no official rules, only common sense. If you appear to lack this, or a good sense of humor, you probably should not be here.

While the forum is basically devoid of rules, however, there will be situations of conflict that may arise. In such an event, guidelines will be added to this section for future reference.

Give Credit Where Credit Is Due

All work created here should give credit to any other work upon which it is based. If the source material or reference image from which any member derives his or her work is owned by a major company, such as Nintendo, Sega, Capcom, Namco, etc., there is no need to credit the source, as anyone who recognizes the image said artwork was based upon likely knows which company contributed to the creation of said image or material.

Any other reference image or source material used for a project that is found on another website, or anywhere else on the Internet, should be credited as such. Artwork created by a Pixelgasm member which uses such material should also, when applicable, be accompanied by a link to the original material, along with the name or names of those to whom the rights of said image belong.

In a case where artwork posted by a member is based on source material that he or she does not know of the original source or the original author, such should be stated (and linked if possible) so that other members might recognize said material and share this information with the member who posted said artwork.
