Cool Finds From PixelJoint.com

Postby Doctor Octoroc on Wed Mar 11, 2009 8:16 am

I thought it might be nice to share some other people's work here, in case anyone is stuck on what to do next. I know a lot of us get to a point where we want to bead/paint/stitch/draw something but don't know what, so I figured I'd start this thread for that purpose. Pixeljoint has always been a prime source for working material for many of us, so I'll start with some from there.

Haha! I'm not sure if we knew about apples & golden lizards either. I wasn't actually the one playing. I was backseat driving more or less.

Good at beating stuff with your starting grip, eh?

Doc, I already beaded Terrifying Monsters! by There is No Cure (a.k.a. Logan)--see my BeadSprite Showroom thumbnail gallery. (O.K., O.K., I haven't yet finished my 20th and final Monster...) I actually have the rest of the stuff from PixelJoint that you've put up on your first post in this thread "favoritized" in my PixelJoint account! What a strange and disturbing coincidence!!!

Indeed it is. Well, there is some logic behind that - I posted mainly "hall of famers" that would all be sensible to bead, and I'm sure you did the same for those that you favorited. Either that or I have access to your computer's hard drive...it all depends on which you think is more likely

I forgot about this thread where you post cool pixel art you find. I know It "says" from pixeljoint, but I think any cool random pixel art will be ok. ^.^ So, here are the Zero-Suit Samus Cuties I found on a random japanese avatar site for everyone to enjoy. (If anyone ever figures out what the name of the artist is who made them, I would love to give them credit):

Image

Goodness they are cute. ^.^

Edit: LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!! I was tooling around pixeljoint.com and found the artist for these two Samus beauties on there. Their name is .Anubis. I find it hilarious that something I find on a site far away from most websites ends up being taken from one of my favorite pixel places. ^.^

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but didn't Jude make those?

Either way, they're large amounts of win.

For some reason I find PixelJoint.com impossible to navigate with a good result. I know it hold thousands of great pixel pieces, but I always come back from searches with next to nothing.

So yeah, this thread is a good idea.

I just found these on a random GIS, thought there was some cuteness. I might bead the girl in the yukata for my wife

Not sure who to credit, I think the site was in Korean :displeased:
